Default Favorite quilt as you go method

I'm working on the AQS Journey to Paducah blocks and doing quilt as you go. Does anyone have a favorite method? I have looked over you tube and found one I like but I never seen to get the backs neat. Any ideas?

The only way I know is Leah Day's method. It worked really well for me. I was trying my hand at FMQ and wanted a smaller surface to work on. The quilt ended up a lot nicer than I thought it would be.
I believe I found it on Youtube or maybe her website, can't remember.

Here is the one by Kimberly in April of 2011 that I always use, even for my Jane Stickle.

QAYG that Kimberly uses :-)

My absolute favorite is actually a serger quilt by Kaye Woods. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOTV-YSF-48 it does take longer than 6 hours though, it's a strip and flip.

It really depends on the quilt I am making. The method I have used for most of my recent quilts is to assemble the quilt in columns and stitch and flip them to the backing, if my strips are narrow enough that is all the "quilting" they get if they are wider then straight line stitching w/ a walking foot (also the foot I use to stitch and flip)
