My neighbor showed me a quilt that she and her sisters cut pieces for and hand sewn back when they were in their very tweens and early teens. It was done with flour and feed sacks and it is to die for!!!

Her husband remembers his mother clothing him and his brothers and sisters in feed and flour sacks all the way through high school. The colors and prints are so vibrant and colorful.

OMGsh. I remember seeing those same prints on sacks. My grandfather had a generl merchandise store and I use to sneak into the warehouse and jump on the feedsacks. (Got many bruises from falling off the sacks. ) I have looked all over the place for feedsacks. I'm always told that "they're gone." I wore feedsack shorts, shirts, and bloomers. My grandmother made her aprons and sunbonnets from the sacks also.

You ladies are so kind to acknowlege my work. Thanks, this board is better than a quilt show. Not nearly as expensive either.
