Default Final chapter of the Dizzy Geese...I promise!

For anyone following my dilemma, I think I have this block figured out. The pieces that are not behaving are the template pieces. I am cutting them spot on, they are the same size as the printed templates in the book, etc.
The template pieces are the 3 pieces in the star points, and the little weirdly shaped pieces on the ends of the flying geese blocks. Tried to make a paper pieced pattern, per Feline Fanatic’s suggestion, only got as far as the star points, but I ended up just making them oversized and trimmed. I know this one isn’t perfect, but I know where the adjustment needs to be made for the rest of the blocks. We head south soon, so I hope to get this cut and ready to sew while we are away.
Pattern is Dizzy Geese by Joan Streck. Inspired by Don’s beautiful quilt that he posted here a few years ago.
Whew.

Great results. I like it. You have the appearance of movement without the headache.

Bravo! Your block looks great and BRAVO for sticking with it.
I know that struggles of that particular block. I tried to make it several years ago & WOW was it a booger.
Funny thing - I posted about it on my blog and people still contact ME for the pattern. Dizzy Geese is definitely a challenging block - but soooo pretty!
