Does anyone out there have this machine? I'm looking for a machine to take to classes and a used one is for sale. I would love to know approx. how much it weighs and whether it's dependable. I can't find many reviews. Thanks.

I have been researching the Janome machines. I want to get one for classes and traveling. There are so many different ones out there that it makes me crazy!! I want a machine for piecing, no embroidery. Not a junior machine. Some extras would be nice but not required. And I just can't figure out their naming system or their numbering system.

I have several Janome Machines. The two I use for class and traveling are the 1860 and the 3160 QDC. Both weigh about 12 1/2 lbs. The 3160 has 60 built in stitches 1860 -30 stitches. The advantage of the 3160 is that it comes with an extension table and has a thread cutter. Hope this helps
