I have never ever thought to think about if I should buy certain type of pins. I just buy the pins if they strike my fancy. As far as the flat head pins, I like the different color ones. They are pretty! I have the F&P flat head ones that are labeled UP, Down, Left, Right. I never think to use them for directions though.

I love my daisy flat headed pins. They are longer and very easy to use if pinning multiple layers. Go for it (smile).

I love the flat head pins. I dislike using my round heads ones not and I have lots of them.

I vote yes, they are so much easier to use.

Ok, I ordered them from CT. Based on your replies, I think I will like them. Thanks!

I've never used them but with all the positive comments here I'm getting some. Thanks everyone.

I use only the flat head/flower pins. They are not all the same though. THe Dritz one, are NOT very sharp. Nor are the Fons & Porter or Singer pins. I prefer Bohin or Collins.

I love my flat head pins. Since they are thinner they penetrate the fabric easier. I also think that the flat larger head makes them easier to remove prior to sewing over them. If you do sew over them I have never had a problem with the machine. If I pick up one of my round head pins I will usually put it back and get a flat head.
