H-m-m. No hoop, no frame??? Tell me how you do it--how it works. I can get frustrated sometimes trying to adjust a hoop or a frame. Might need to try this.

Since I posted this, I've discovered that I can quilt in my lap (no hoop, no frame, no thimble). I know now that the "quilt police" won't arrest me and I find I'm getting smaller and more even stitches. Of course, I'm pinning, pinning, and more pinning but it's such a pleasure for me now to pick up my sandwiched quilt and work on it for as long as I want. Thanks for your reply. I had actually considered what you have but.....
