Me too. The rulers were designed by Eleanor Burns and they are the easiest way I have found for making flying geese blocks.

I was taught the method where you stitch the two small squares to either side of a rectange. They are never perfect.

Yesterday, I tried the no-waste method but my stitching must have been off because they weren't perfect.

I watched a video on the Eleanor Burns method and would like to try that. But...do you need a different ruler for every size flying geese block that you might make?

Thanks,
Cathy

You can ignore my question. I googled and found out the answer.

I have made flying geese by many different methods. My favorite is to just make two hst's and sew them together, my least favorite is doing the no waste method with two large squares.

I use the Nifty Notions rulers, I think it make QUICK work of them and there not alot of sewing, cut sew, square up. It's cut sew and done. Allows for great points too IMHO.

I am making one right now using Ms. Burns' rulers. I am impressed by how little waste there is. And when piecing, they have been perfectly going together. So glad I bought them!
