I am very inexperienced at FMQ. So I am looking for some easy ideas/patterns/suggestions on what to do with this quilt top. It will be used as a tablecloth on a round table this fall (I hope.)

I would sew 1/4 inch on both sides of the red and flowered pattern. Then in the corners I would find a design I liked to quilt in there.

Thanks. That sounds easy enough...if I don't chicken out. But I figure sooner or later I have to try FMQ and since this is for us it won't matter too much if I goof it up.

You'll do fine. Just take your time and use the tools you have. Good luck!

Get yourself some Machingers gloves before you start and you'll find you have excellent control moving the fabric under the needle. That's a very pretty block BTW.

Thank you Rose. Guess I will have to visit the quilt shop on Monday (most all are closed tomorrow) for gloves.
