Angry Forgot What I Was Doing With A Layer Cake and Jelly Roll

I finally got my mojo going again at the sewing machine by doing a donation quilt. As I was going through my stuff I came across a Moda Layer Cake & matching Jelly Roll. I had cut the layer cake into two different sizes plus use strips of the Jelly Roll and had 5 hand pieced blocks done but for the life of me I can't remember what pattern (if any) I was following. I laid the 5 blocks out and they do not go together at all so looks like I may do mug rugs out of them. Pitiful!

Default Ok, here are the quilt blocks

The blocks are from a matching layer cake and coordinating jelly roll. They just don't look good together. Sorry the photo is upside down again.

Try turning every other block so the 3 vertical stripes are horizontal.
See what I mean? Don't know the pattern but I'm sure it will be nice when
it's done.

Maybe some variation on a rail fence or turning twenty?

Since the layer cake and matching jelly roll are from Moda, check The Moda website for its free patterns. You may find some patterns that fit your criteria. Good luck!
