I don't know why my machine is skipping today. Is it going over the extra fabric in the seams, the Elmer's glue or what? Since it is only a couple of places I will fix them by hand. I thread a hand needle with the same thread and stitch on both sides of the thread front and back, travel through the sandwich to the next stitch and tie and bury the ends. I'm glad you were able to fix it so nicely. Your FMQ is beautiful! Do you do it on a domestic home machine or do you have a long arm?

I don't have a long arm, wish I had room for one. I use my Bernina 440 for FMQ.

I glue baste with full-strength Elmer's all the time, and I've never had a skipping problem. Your quilting is lovely.

It does seem as though the two skipped stitches you marked are on the seam line.
So yes, that could possibly be what is causing it.

What kind/size of needle are you using?
What type of batting?

I think it may be the combination of the glue and seams since it is fine everywhere else. I will change out my needle in case it is getting a little dull.

Yes, it could be getting dull ........ changing it up would be a good step.

....... but what type of needle ad size are you using??

I think it is a Floriani Chrome quilting needle 11/75 but who can read those little numbers? There is a spot missing in the package.
