Well I think I found a new passion. I took a "Crazy Quilt" class at my LQS on Monday. It used foundation piecing by the bolt by Benatrex. It was SO fun....and EASY! And the best part...everything lines up the way it should!!

I can't believe I haven't tried this before. Although I will probably do the design on paper, buy the design by the hard is rather expensive...NICE but a little expensive.

Here the patter we used and then a sample of how it turned out. Sorry for the blurry pic, took it with my phone at work. :)

I make mine. The preprinted are a bit pricey. Good job.

awesome...and welcome to a NEW addiction...

go the offcie supply store, I like office depot and look for recycled newsprint in the standard printer paper size...
then go to http://www.caroldoak.com and start printing off the FREE patterns...then go
http://www.quilterscache.com and print off her FREE patterns..and then if you are really brave, go to http://www.paperpanache.com and try one of their FREE patterns!

I love to teach foundation piecing....it really opens up your world to new scrap usage and FUN!

Benartex also has a New York Beauties foundation cloth that produces a gorgeous quilt.
