For some time I have tried to locate PVC quilting frame clamps. My husband was such a sweet heart to build me a PVC quilting frame, and we found two clamps that fit nicely over those PVC tubes. We were lucky to find the two tension adjusting clamps that fit, from Hobby Lobby. I would like more, but can only find the smaller size (width around or in diameter). Every website that I go into looks like it has the narrow PVC pipe. Thanks in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you show a picture of what you are looking for?

If there is a Home Depot or a plumbing supply near you they might have something that would work.

I wish I could enclose a picture, but I'm not that gifted, posting pictures. I have a camera snapshot, but don't know the first thing about forwarding that picture to you girls. Is there instructions on this website to do just that? I really want to learn.

Found these on Amazon:

Looks like 1-inch pipe is the largest. What size is your PVC pipe?

I bought a PVC quilting frame, and I measured it for you. The pipes themselves are 2.5 inches diameter, and the clamp pieces are 1.75". The clamp pieces are cut down one side and a .5 inch piece is cut out, and the edges smoothed, so it will clamp over the solid pipes. I could take pictures if you like. I will help any way I can.

I know what you mean. I think you might have to make your own, cutting a slit out of pieces that are the same size as the frame is made of, and rounding the corners. It should spread enough to fit and clamp tight.

I am so sorry, I got the measurements backwards and wrong. Pipes are 1 5/8" and clamps are 1.3/4". Mine fit tight. Don't forget to smooth the edges after cutting strips out for clamps. Light sand paper will work.

You need slightly larger pipes for them to clamp over and not break from the thickness of the quilt sandwich. Mine fit tight, even with a thick batting. See above reply for my measures.
