I agree, great story for both of you. And you will probably get a lot more done inspiring each other. I hope she stays interested and that you get a new camera soon! Would love to see some pics of your projects and of yourselves.

Her piecing is very good and she has a wonderful eye for color.
And I am getting some small projects done due to her motivating me.

Keep telling her these two statements~~over and over, every time you see her. Remark on how artistic she is, always in her hearing. Sounds like she needs encouragement and you are the one she will listen to.

I am happy for both of you. You will probably never know how much she really needs that bonding.

She will never forget the time she spends with you. I had an older friend when I was in my teens and have loved her with all of my heart, she passed years ago and I still miss her.I'm sure this friendship will do nothing but grow. Thank you for your kindness to this young girl. We always gain if we open our arms and our hearts

What fun you are having!
I tried to teach my 2 G-daughters how to make pillow cases, I ended up finishing them. They were not intrested.........but on the good side I have 2 more little girls coming up in the ranks to try with them. They are 6 and 2 1/2 so I have time yet!

What a beautiful story! She probably feels safe with you and I'll bet you become someone very meaningful to her.
