Full-Time RVing with my longarm
I'm looking for anyone who has actual experience or knows someone who does. Anyone out there a full-time RVer and took your long arm on the road?
I found an article about a lady who did - she took out her dinette and seating to make room in her coach. Another person put theirs in the back in the toy hauler (took the head off while traveling).
Have you had any problems? What did you learn? Any tips to pass along?

I am just fascinated by stuff like this and those of you who do RV quilting. I have no personal experience but I will be avidly lurking and living vicariously through your stories!

It gets Really complicated to do something like that, And then in many states you need a commercial driver's license if you're using your RV for business, which means physical exams every year and much higher insurance costs. Plus you're basically inviting an audit if you do.

Most people I know do piecing in their RV's and save the tops to long arm when they get home. My friend loves Judy Niemeyer patterns and always works on those when she's traveling.

I've pieced in an RV but never took a long arm. It would have to be secured somehow and the head would probably need to come of. The head is heavy and expensive so that would not be an option for me. If a person was to live year round in an RV and just have it parked all the time it would be doable if the RV is big enough. A long arm needs to have space all around it. If the RV needs to move the long arm would need to be secured.
