That proves young girls have no clue these days. I'm teaching my 11 year old granddaughter and some of her friends to sew and craft. I did that for my daughters and all the older grandddaughters. My daughters sew and the granddaughters sew. Hopefully this one will continue to sew too.

A lot of young people have no idea regarding hand work. A shame.

That's funny but also a little sad to think there are so many young people who have no idea how to do any type of craft.

[quote=cabbagepatchkid]That reminds me of a TV commercial, from a few years back, for quilted Charmin (I think) toilet paper. The commercial had cartoon ladies sitting around a huge piece of toilet paper (maybe it was a paper towel ) "knitting" on it with knitting needles!! I had to laugh at all those little cartoon ladies knitting away on something being advertised as quilted. They must have gotten a lot of mail about it because it was only a couple of weeks before all of those little ladies had exchanged their knitting needles for a needle and thread...hahaha!!

I remember that commercial too. Drove me crazy; and wondered how they could have gotten it far enough to air. UNREAL

It was a funny story and thank you for sharing.

Interesting was that you are using walnut shells for a pin cushion. That was new to me. But, ground walnut shells are a blasting abrasive so I guess maybe I can see it sort of.

You are going to have enough for a LOT of pin cushions. Smiles.
