I made this quilt a few years ago and it was pretty easy. Wish I had a picture but don't know how to scan. The pattern that I used was in "Template-Free Quiltmaking" by Trudie Hughes. The Book was published by That Patchwork Place. I hope you make it because I'm sure you will be happy with the results.

I am working on this quilt today. What don't you understand? You have a number of different blocks but they are not really hard. The hard one is the one that you leave open when you start and close off at the end, if that makes sense? If I can help you please let me know. I am putting it together and it is set on point.

I have a book called "Garden Twist Quilts" by 'In the Beginning' fabrics which is also the same pattern, but uses flowered fabric placed to look like a trellis. I guess with all these folks using the pattern, it is obviously not copywrited (copywritten??).

Thank you everyone, for helping to sort out the blocks on this one. Although I didn't ask (as there are a bunch ahead of it yet), this is one of the patterns I really like, and I appreciate the time you took to help us "see" the block pattern.

There are lots of sites that show individual blocks, but the way they look when put together is so completely different!

This one is definitely on my list.

I'm thinking this for the bottom 1/2 -2/3 of the quilt, with white for the "trellises", flowers in between, then a far-off landscape for the upper portion....hmmmm...

I saw a similar pattern like this on the Fons and Porter TV show with Marianne and her daughter Mary, demystifying the block. It was a lot easier than it appears.

Maybe you can find it on their website of tv shows. Unfortunately I don't know the show number.
