I just bought some fusable fleece from WW. It is 973F, but I usually use the midweight 987 for my purses. Has anyone used the heavier fleece? The WW fleece was only about $4.00 a yd. and I thought that I would try it.

I tried a heavier one time, don't remember the number. It was stiffer than I like but it did stand on its own...

I usually stick to the 987.

When I make the Bow Tucks bag I use the WM heavy fleece just for the outside bag. The lining, outside pocket, inside pockets and handle are done using the thinner fleece. I tried to make one useing all heavy fleece but was way to stiff and hard to sew especially the handle. I like the bags a little firmer so decided to just use the heavy fleece for the outside. Worked out great.

I accidentally bought the lighter one and did not like how it felt as I was making the bag. It did not seem stiff enough. I bought a light fusible interfacing and before I constructed the bag I added it to the wrong side over the other pellon fleece. It now feels so much better. I found the medium weight at my Walmart for only 3.97 per yard. Good Luck.....
