I can go for 2 blocks a month. Posting frequency? Obviously on the 1st for the first BOM, and the second one? For simplicity, I agree with (on or around) the 15th. These dates are easy to remember. This should not become as complicated as a Congressional Hearing. I signed up because it was simple; my vote is that it stay that way (I'm just 1 voice though- Majority rules!!).

How about a BOM for every 12 who sign up and stagger them so you can belong to more than one if you want

Admin has given his ok for Country Quilter to post on the 15th, under separate threads (one for instructions and discussion, the other pictures; like the April 1st).

Norah, assuming you agree, you'll go on the 1st of May, also separate threads.

Using the original list, that would give mimisharon until the 15th of May to decide if she wants to post then or wait until 1 June. If she wants to wait, we can ask Marcella if she wants to go on 15 May.

None of this should be taken to mean that I'm trying to make any rules. I just exercised a bit of caution and checked with Admin to make sure we could do something on the 15th without getting fussed at.

That gives us another month to haggle over any details the majority feel need further discussion.

Nobody needs to feel obligated or pressured to do more than one per month.

Kitty is just napping again. No need for smelling salts.

That sounds good, I have been learning to applique and really like it. It's easier than piecing to me. I have a hard time where 4 pieces meet. So it should be interesting to see what is offered...... :-)

The "schedule" to date is ...

Country Quilter has confirmed she will post another block on the 15th of April. Admin says ok. :-)

Norah - i hope - posts on 1 May.
Sharon could post on the 15th of May, or on the 1st, I guess, if the crowd talks her into it.
Then Marcella ... etc.

In the meantime, we are still free to keep talking about other ways to do it if that still doesn't sound "right" to multiple block crowd.

stressing again that this is NOT an attempt to decide or control this. i did check with Admin to make sure we wouldn't get "in trouble" for not waiting until 1 MAY. Otherwise, this is just an attempt to summarize and clarify what we seem to have come up with so far.

I am sooo..... excited to see the next block. Bring it on countryquilter! :D :D :D

Ruth I Love applique also, but, hope you will keep trying with the piecing! it really is fun. Here's what you do. I'm assuming first off you are already sewing three strips with the block sections. I do down left side then center then right. Doesn't matter which order, But you must square off ea. finished section. They all so far have 9 sqs. within the block. I gotta tell ya I have yet to see one of mine come out without some uneven edges. Trimming the edges and making the like sections the same size and the sides that go together straight I have found is a major key to getting the four corners to agree. Then the pressing is important. I make sure they are pressed opposite of ea other. you can pin easier that way. Right between the seems. I spent so much time ripping on the last two frolic blocks, I think 1/2 of my time spent was ripping. :-D

so we will have 2 blocks for each month at staggered intervials plus the alerady threads for the previous months? And all our chatter? We need to find a way to archive? or cut down on some of this, there wil not be time for room for any thing else on the site.Or will we just erace the prevous months at a given time on the following month. For example Arpil's blocks threasd come off May 15. Then May comes off JUne 15. That gives time to get the info, show off and down load whatervr and still have room for the next month.

We seem to have simplified the offer dates, now lets do hte same for the rest. Just a thought. See you Sunday at chat.
