I mentioned awhile back I would figure out how to do this and do to wonderful modern computer stuff way over my head - some time soon I will have the fast star in a pdf file so I can use it to teach - tutor those of you interested.

So keep while we are all waiting - start thinking about the two colors you want to use for diamonds. 2 colors - I like people to have 2 -24" pieces -

the 2 colors is enough to cut the diamonds only - you will need more for the backgound and borders - I just want you to think of the star for now -

Of course if you go beyond that
1 yard for the star triangles is plenty
once the point is assembled you need another yard for the outer background.
The strips along the sides take 1/2 yard - I am being a bit liberal with yardage - because believe it or not the only thing I remember off the top of my head is the amount for the diamonds.
This may still be two weeks out but - I am planning.

Hope I can find two fabrics as pretty as your example. Will start looking now. Only 2- 24" pieces is enough??? Just want to make sure.

I love the look of the tar on the pattern cover.
