It started yesterday when I was working on my bow tucks, that as I was sewing and my machine started taking over on its own. It keeped on sewing when I needed it to stop. Then this
evening it did it again.
Now I have a computorized kenmore. I have had my machine for almost 4 years now and never had any problems with it before. My book says that I don't need to oil it. But I guess it
maybe time to go in for a check up. Have any ideas what could be wrong? My husband says that maybe I need to oil the pedal. But I looked at it and I don't think that is the problem.

Maybe there's some lint or thread stuck somewhere in the foot pedal. I have actually heard of this type of thing happening with Janome machines and some Kenmores are made by Janome.

I had this happen on my machine and found that the pedal had slid under the edge of my cabinet and when I released my foot, it was still in the sew position due to being under the cabinet.
