Oh, Julia, you have made a gorgeous block. You need to sometime make a quilt of your own in those fabrics. I love it.

Love this version with the background of many fabrics, from another post this morning.

You could use a photocopier to reduce a 12" block to the 8" of your blocks (reduce to 66 - 67%).

A pattern with instructions is found here: http://charisecreates.blogspot.com/2...age-block.html

Check out Fons and Porter Love of Quilting Sept/Oct 2015 Fond Memories. Looks exactly the same. Good luck.

Your block turned out very nice. You are very inventive and creative. Can't wait to see how you finish your new adventure.

Your block is great and how wonderful to have this bit of history to preserve with your skills. I have a few old blocks, but not enough to make into a quilt. I also have some vintage pieces that are cut but not sewn into their blocks. Maybe I'll pull them out and see what I can do with them. Thanks for inspiring me!

The old blocks are very pretty. Your block is gorgeous in those colors. applied to an off white square would make it even so much more. You are very lucky and talented.
