I am in a quandry as to how to do these. It will be a gift and not necessarily as soon as they're born-next month. But, I'm wondering if I should use the same pattern but different colors for them. Or if I should just do totally separate themes.
Any thoughts? I know the girls room will be pink and brown and the boys will be sports themed. So I'm looking for some clever ideas that I know you all have. I'm considering doing baby zoo animals appliqued for one cause I like the appliques on the EQBoutique site and currently learning applique.
Thanks for your ideas.
Sandy

This would be fun to do. If it were me making them, I'd probably coordinate them .... same theme different fabrics, or same fabrics and different themes or same fabrics, same pattern with different placements of colour and slightly different finishing (eg. one might have cats, the other dogs)

Regardless, it's a fun thing to do ... and I'd spend hours considering the possibilities! have fun with the planning and creation.

My twins are both boys but I did enjoy getting the same thing in different colors for them!

The parents are making the rooms different so I'd individualize them.

I think I would go for totally different theme as it sounds as if the mum and dad are doing that - but then I really dislike seeing twins dressed the same as they are individual little people x

Ooooh! I would make these:

I've been wanting to make them. But for boy/girl twins, I can't think of anything better!

How about Sunbonnet Sue(maybe update her) and Sam. Sam could be playing sports and Sue could also play some sports(such as volleyball, basketball, tennis) along with shopping, picking flowers, playing with cats and/or dogs, being a beauty queen or whatever you want her to do.

I made these two quilts that I think I would use for twins. The girl quilt is the standard 4-patch then a fussy cut block. (Standard Quilts for Kids pattern.)
