I would use 2 layers of batting or wool batting.

you could use Hobbs 80/20. That's got a great poof.

Go to user "Charisma" & see what she uses in her quilts. They have some poof to them & she really makes the quilting stand out.

I would def go with Hobbs 80/20 because 2 layers of w & N would be way too hot.

Check out poly/cotton blends, find one that can be quilted far enough apart to be able to SID like you want to :D:D:D
