I bought mine online. My LQS doesn't stock it. I'm going to try the dealership where I bought my Juki. They have a quilt store on the premises and might have it.

Me too!! Love, love, love Glide thread. The website at Terylloy.com sells Glide thread in 5,000 yard, 40 weight thread for 9.95 a cone. If you purchase 8 cones, she will give you a 9th one for free! The shipping is a flat 8.95 so I seem to wait and get 9 at a time. Another thing to consider is their Color Chart. I think I paid about $10 for it but its a great way to match thread to quilt and also a great way to keep inventory of your thread. This is the only thread I use for quilting as my
machine loves it too! I am able to use this thread on my embroidery machine as well! It is a great thread and so happy I found it! She ships very quickly and all I ever experienced from shopping there is 100% satisfaction!!

Thank you for the recommendation; I'll bookmark this site for when I can buy a bunch.

It's good to hear about great prices and service.

I bought a couple of the 1100 yd cones at this place just to try it when I ordered a roll of batting. https://battingsupersale.com/products.asp?id=7 The cones are $5.98, shipping included. They have the 5,000 meter cones at $12, also shipping included. Very fast service - might be a good option if you're like me and just want to try the thread or if you need only one in a hurry.

I agree 100% on buying the Glide color card! It's a multi-fold card with wrappings of the actual thread so you can see the real colors. It includes the Affinity variegated colors as well, plus shows what's available in MagnaGlide bobbins for a longarm. That plus my Kona solids cards for fabric are indispensable.

Another Glide lover here. When I bought my midarm and was learning to use it, one of the things I read on here, was that you"ve got to try different threads until you find the one that your long/mid arm loves. Glide was the one. I now use it for everything, including my piecing. Thank you Still Sew N for the recommendation on the site.

Teresa, try to loosen the top tension slightly. I was having problems with the Glide thread shredding on my longarm initially until I loosened the top tension slightly. Problem solved.
