Default Glide thread users???

Has anyone used Glide thread before? I just recently bought some at a quilt show and used it on a charity quilt, it is so BEAUTIFUL. Its a high sheen trilobal polyester. I have a Babylock QCP on a New Joy frame and it quilts like BUTTA!! My machine LOVE LOVE LOVE'S this thread...best part (besides the beautiful stitching) is the price. 5,000yd cone for $7.20. I love Superior Thread (need to make this known as well) Im just sayin'..give it a try. Soon I will be purchasing an A1 Longarm and cant wait to try it on that system. BTW...I used the same thread in the bobbin. Let me know if you have used it and how you like it. Thanks Sue

Someone on this board used this on her quilt and it was BEAUTIFUL! She had so many compliments on the Glide thread. I bought some but haven't used it yet--I'm still learning fmq and don't want to "waste" it on non essential quilting but I can't wait!

You should go ahead and try it for your practice. Might make things even easier for you and like I said, its not that expensive. Im just floored with the stitching. It really looks great.

I've never heard of it. I'm a 100% cotton kinda gal, but this is intriguing...Where did you buy it?

Glide thread can be purchased online from bobbincentral.com I love their magnetic bobbins but you have to take the check spring out of the bobbin case. I have multiple bobbin cases, one for each type of bobbin thread I use so I don't have to change the tension all the time.

I am a huge fan of Glide thread. I love it even more than most of Superior thread's products. I am also a HUGE fan of their magna glide prewound bobbins. I quilt on an Innova longarm. Oh and I found out about it from Karen McTavish! She uses it and recomended it in a class I took. They have a collection that she put together. It is a wonderful product. I too love the high sheen of it.
