Default Is this a good deal?

My husband offered to be me a sewing cabinet (1 that i can put my machine in n it be level w/the top). I started my search and could not justify the 1000+ prices i was seeing for brand new ones. So i headed to 1 of my favorite places to find a deal....and came across Someone in my area that is selling a Horn sewing cabinet AND a baby lock Design Pro sewing machine for $275.00 (yes, that is the asking price for both items)

I know nothing about baby lock machines. Should I jump on this deal? Btw he also offered to buy me a new machine for Christmas.

I appreciate any inputs you wonderful folks can offer.

if it is in your area it is worth checking out- go see it- see what kind of shape the cabinet is in- try out the machine- see if it meets your expectations- if you like it & it's in good shape then it's worth it.

Are baby lock machines good or is it a machine that has been known to need frequent repairs?

I would think that $275 just for the Horn Cabinet is a good deal! Even if the machine isn't what you are looking for. You can always turn around and sell the machine and still get your new one for Christmas. I would definately go and check it out.

From the pictures I've seen the cabinet looks to be in great shape. How wrong of me would it be to see if she would take less?
Oh my that's table is expensive.....this is just about identical to the one for sale.....only difference is the drawers on the right.

Go check it out. If you keep dabbling, it'll be gone when you get around to it!

I'm trying to make arrangements now to go see them. The items were her moms who is in the hospital then moving to assisted living when she gets out and cannot take these with her.

After researching the price of the cabinet alone if nothing else I will buying them for the table alone, as long as the pictures are true :-)
