It sure is nice to know that some people recognise that a lot projects are so time consuming and are willing to pay you for it.So often those who don't sew/quilt/craft think it's all done in minutes! So happy that you had such a nice encounter!

Good for you!! In our area people complain about the price one asks for doing work for them. Had one lady call me a few days ago asking if I would finish a quilt top that a neighbor had given her. Of course she thought because I "like to quilt" I could hand quilt it for her. When I quoted a price, she said, "Oh my, I could buy 3 blankets for that." Makes one wonder why they feel entitled to "free".

I went school shopping with a friend yesterday they had backpacks for $40-$100 and you just know it's barley going to last the year and everyone will have a similar style. You just created a durable, custom made masterpiece!

I'm thrilled for you. Most people don't know what goes into our sewing. I have been sewing for people for years and exactly twice have I gotten a tip. They are always very happy with the finished product and I have several return customers. I think a lot of it has to do with the area in which I live. I don't want to offend anyone who lives in the western Philly suburbs so I won't say what that means.
