I tend to underprice my efforts as well but when I'm doing things for friends and coworkers and I know they really appreciate and enjoy my work, I'm happy to make a small profit. I've been given more money than I ask for as well, and gift cards, and cookies, and taken out to lunch and so on which is just as nice.

Awesome!! So wonderful that you are being recognized for your talent and being recompensed accordingly. They must feel the love and care you incorporate into your work as well as the craftsmanship!!! Hugs and smiles!!

I am happy for you. That lady valued your time and effort.

I know how I felt so sorry for my mother when she would quilt beautiful quilts for ladies and only got $2.00 an hour. She would sit stopped over the quilting frame for hours on hours working on these. Just trying to make a little extra money after Daddy died. Some of the ladies would give her a little more, but most used her. Mama was afraid if she charged more, noone would ask her to quilt and she needed every penny she could get.

So, I hope you can sell many more.

that was the way when a member of my quilt group asked me to make a 21st birthday card for her niece. I thought that 3.50 would cover the cost of the 3D flower but she gave me $5 she said it was well worth the money because I did a real good job. I am only learning hoe to do cards.
I am glad that you were paid well. it does prove that not all think you come from China and can only get little money for your work. well done you
