Default Is this a good price for a Bernina #150?

I don't know if $500.00 is a good price for a Bernina #150 with all attachments and a sewing machine table.
I know that they are high maintenance and need service every year.
Right now I sew on a Singer 15-91 that I can service myself.
Is it worth it, what do you think?

Are you talking about a Virtuosa?

I am not familiar with that Bernina. How old is it? Have you tried it out? Has she had it serviced and cleaned regularly? The feet for my Bernina are about $50 each. If it comes with a lot of feet and a table it isn't bad but I would try to get the price a little lower myself. Maybe someone that actually has that machine will give you a better idea of it's value.

Try to google it or check ebay or amazon. You may find comparable prices.

I had a friend who just had a moving sale, and she tried to sell her 150 for $1500. She stated that price as she had paid close to $3000 for it. I told her that if she did not get any takers that she would have to make one of two choices, drop the price or take it with her. She took the machine with her. A lot of people asked about it, but walked away when they heard the price and knew it was a firm price. I think she could have sold it for a 1,000, as that is what e bay had one for. $500 dollars for a computerized Bernina? That has all of the attachments? That is a"giving it away" price! I don't know what you mean about high maintainance. Yearly cleaning is just a good practice for the longevity of your machine, just like oil changes in a car. Also, I keep hearing about the expensive feet for Bernina. I have only had to buy a walking foot for my 930, everything else that I ever needed came with it. Good luck making your decision, but don't wait too long, someone that knows a good deal when they see it may beat you to it

I have a 150 that I purchased new many years ago for around $2000. It is the machine I use for retreats and sewing days away from home. Most of my piecing has been done on the machine. I would grab it at $500 with accessories and table.

I did it!
She came home with me today and she's a beauty.
The sewing table is great, lots of room.
Now I have a real sewing studio.
