Quilt photographs must not be used for any commercial purpose or displayed on the Internet without permission of the quiltmaker and American Quilter's Society.

That is fair. I understand how they feel. I do like to see the pics, though.

I would think that we could take pictures outside venues, better than nothing i suppose?

I know it's fair and all but honestly to post a pic for others to enjoy, not for profit, how is that hurting the quilter or the show? Ugggg. Just rubs me the wrong way.

You could possible see those quilts again, as a pattern. They are just trying to protect their intellectual property.

A lot of the non winning quilts in the show are made from commercial patterns anyway. I saw dozens last year that read quilt made from the _________pattern by __________. They were stunning but not original.

I have a question. If people are so scared to death that some evil person will copy their quilt why on earth do they enter it into a CONTEST where it will be displayed in PUBLIC?

And then it most likely will be shown in a MAGAZINE that possibly will be distributed around the world.

So what is the big deal about a picture?
If you are that paranoid and worried about your "original design" keep it home to yourself.

we can still take pics of other things. I was looking forward to taking some though. My first show, and I was all excited to share my experience.
