I have a new LAQ & although I am getting good at the sewing part I often forget one real important step....lower the pressure foot.........this ends up being a horrid mess of thread on the back side....what is the easiest way to remove the bad stitching without taking it off the machine frame???
Hope I don't sound like too much of an idiot but thus far I have done it twice....please help!!!
TIA,
Katt

Can't help with the thread messes, but wanted to say that I had to place a piece of masking tape on the front of my domestic machine to remind me to change the needle position for the scant 1/4". This has saved me yards and yards of ripping out 3/8" seams. Maybe you can do something similar to the front of your LAQ -- place a piece of masking tape there with the reminder to lower the presser foot, remove only after you lower the foot, and replace any time you lift the foot.

Been there done that had to take my machine to the dr's. I have a bar that can come off the frame just lifts off the hooks. I was able to see the backside and rip the stitches that way. some use a eyebrow trimmer to help cut the loose threads it will take some time. Sorry :(

When I used my Megaquilter I put a post-it at the end of the machine where I would see it before I pushed the on button.

I made myself get in the habit of bringing the bobbin thread up to the top before starting, if you do that you do not ever have to worry about 'nests' on the back
