It's absolutely worth it. And the pieces are so precise that they go together especially well. Every time you cut something, you lose or gain a tiny bit and it really matters when paper piecing. Thus, I'd never do a huge design of intricate pieces unless I was using laser cut pieces. The price fluctuates, so check Amazon, etc for deals. Paper Pieces had a cyber Monday deal (25% off everything), but I think that discount only happens once a year.

You, dear girl are a much better woman than I am. I love the looks of the quilt, but frankly, I'm just to lazy. However, just do one block at a time, between projects. Or use the blocks as Leader/Enders which build fast. It will be beautiful, no matter when you finish the project. ps: We've all had those moments of weakness and we're all still sewing. LOL

I love my LaPas, and sold the book and papers for what I paid for them when done, because so many people don't want (or at that time anyway) to order the book from France.
If you haven't used the papers and they are from Paper Pieces you could ask to return them, and if it is the size detering you there are bigger papers now so the quilt goes faster.
You could probably also flip them on Ebay pretty quickly.

I also didn't do too much fussy cutting, my stash didn't lend itself to that.

I didn’t do the proper La Pass (still need to finish quilting it) but did the New Hexagon one. I didn’t buy my fabrics ahead and had to shop for at least a couple of fabrics for each “flower” which made it fun.......seeing the possibilities. I was so sick of each flower when near the end of each so I recommend taking them one at a time.
