Default Grace EZ3 frame

Does any of you have experience using this quilt frame? I have no experience with it but it appears it is loaded pretty much like a longarm, except it is for hand quilting. I got this almost as a
"give away" price at a yard sale and it's still in the box, taped shut. Heavy as it is, it is either complete or a box of bricks! Presently I enjoy quilting in a hoop as it is more portable but I couldn't leave this frame under-appreciated and under-priced when I noticed the box under a tree at a yard sale.

That's a great little frame! It does take a little practice to get the tension just right. If you pull the fabric too tight, it bows in the middle.

I prefer hand quilting in a hoop as well. Not sure I could manage on a frame. But if I ran across one of those at a yard sale for the price, I'd have grabbed as well if for no other reason than making sandwiching easier!

I have the EZ3 frame and love it. I still use my lap hoop for my smaller quilts, but lap size and up are all quilted on my EZ3 floor frame.

Forgot to add that it did take a little getting use to quilting on the EZ3. Just a matter of adjusting to quilting from the bottom to the top & edge to edge (instead of starting in the center).
