Is the even feed foot the same as a quilting foot? I was going through some things and found a foot that I had bought at a place where they fix machines. She told me that it was a quilting foot for my machine. But when I tried to put it on my machine it didn't work and they wouldn't take it back.
The paper says it is an even feed foot.

I didn't think mine worked either, until I found out the little bar at the top of the walking foot had to hook onto the screw for my needle  I don't know if this applies to you and your situation though :D:D:D

An even feed foot, or walking foot is a very good foot to have. They cost more than quilting feet, I think. But have them show you how to use it.

The even feed foot or walking foot is a foot that helps move the top layer an the bottom layer at the same speed. It is very helpful with patterns that need to be aligned and of course, straight line quilting.

The quilting foot is occasionally called the darning foot. When you use it, you drop the feed dogs and YOU move the fabric with feed dogs down.

So it is important to identify what exactly is the goal of the foot, and no, those two feet (depending on definition) are not the same thing.
