God bless the USA. Thankful to live in America. And thanks dolly for the reminder of how blessed we really are.

That's in US dollars, it's about 30 euros per meter or 13-15 euros per meter for the cheap fabric. Fat quarters are 7 euros which is about $10 for a fat quarter!! Be very, very grateful for our prices in the US. I can't wait to get home!
So I think you won't need an extra suitcase for all the fabrics you'll be purchasing??

How do those of you who live outside the US afford to quilt? Is your wages in line with fabric costs? Ours are for the most part except those of us who are on limited income of SS. The gov. hasn't seen fit to give us a raise for a couple years. They say there is no raise in the cost of living.LOL I don't know what rock they are living under.

Well, yes, you can be very grateful! We here in Germany also have to pay between 14 and 16 Euros per meter (I think this is about 18 to 30$) for a good quality fabric, it's almost no difference to our neigbours in the Netherlands. Fortunately we can purchase brands like Kaufman, Hoffman, Moda, RJR etc.
I have collected a stash which is big enough for the next 20 years...I don't have to buy so much at the moment.
