Take a look at patterns for scroll saw work...lots of books out there, designs are very simple and in one of the books I have, all the designs are drawn on a one inch grid so they would be easy to enlarge by hand if there is no copy machine handy. I've seen the books at Lowes and other hardware stores, at used book stores, libraries, etc.
