I got this cute fabric a couple of months ago...it's Famer's Market by Sandi Genovese. I think I'd like to make a quilt for a little girl, or even a couple of baby/stroller quilts, but I can't decide on a pattern. The fabric prints are large and busy, so I thought I might use a simple squares pattern or possibly bricks. But certainly all of you with experience could give me a couple more options?

(I think the 2-tone pink on the left would make a lovely backing and perhaps the stripe for the binding?)

I love your fabric!!! The new modern fabrics with the big prints look terrific using a pattern with big squares. Maybe you might like the "5 & Dime" quilt pattern by All Washed Up. I made a quilt for my daughter using it with Amy
Butler fabric. It turned out just great!

Here is a link to their blog. You can see the pattern on the right hand side of the blog as you scroll down:

Love the 5 & Dime pattern - that's wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing. That's right up my alley!

Beautiful fabric. I can see how that would work with the 5 & dime pattern. Can't wait to see the quilt.

I think they would make a nice lap quilt for a lady that is lounging on a Spring evening on the porch...reading a book...

Rosemary, I am glad you liked the pattern. It is my "go to" for those modern fabrics by Amy Butler, Heather Baily, Anna Maria Horner, Sandy Gervais, etc. It is simple to do and you can get those gifts out very fast using it.

I've seen some great looking, simple quilts using the type of fabrics you've gathered. A non-traditional flying geese (make all three parts different) looks great. I myself wouldn't go with just bricks. A few angles adds interest, I think. But that's just my opinion. You have to do all the work! That disappearing 9-patch works well with the large prints, too.
I'm sure any girl would love whatever you come up with.

Have you decided already? I get behind on reading these posts, and by the time I add my 2 cents worth, the quilts are probably finished, quilted, bond and given away!

I think the disappearing 9 patch would be great. I'd use the green print for the center of the D9P, and like you said, the stripe for binding and the tone on tone pink as backing. If you have enough of the pink on pink, it would be cute in the center of the D9P as well!

Great fabric!
