Way to re-do and re-use. Love it. It's homey and cheery.

GREAT idea! We have a king size lightweight down comforter that is beginning to show it's 12 years of wear. It's all white. We both love it, so hate to part with it and they are cost-prohibitive, so need to do something with it, and have always hated how the sides were too short to reach the bed skirt, so this would be a great idea to make it what I always wanted it to be! lol Thanks for posting!

OK. I'm confused! How did you get the quilting lines on the back to all be vertical while sewing log cabin on the front? I would think you'd have a log cabin kinda look on the back, too.

What a positively brilliant idea! Not only are you saving instead of throwing out a perfectly good batting, but you are using up stash, using your creativity, and creating a brand new, double sided quilt! Brilliant! I have exactly the quilt that needs that "assistance". It's in great shape, but the surface is worn in places, and stained. I can just cover it up, and do it in the evenings when I like to sit with some handwork and listen to music or books on tape (I rarely watch TV.), and for me it can take as long as I want, since the quilt is not currently in use. Thank you so much for your most wonderful creative idea!
