We have a great Hancocks in middle Illinois. They have a LARGE selection of good quality quilting fabric. If you're ever near Champaign, Il. look them up.

They closed the one just a couple miles from my house :( I would rather go there than Joann's...

I have a Hancocks still and it is fine. But I have learned not to buy flannel from them , mine always seems to get the "super thin" stuff  Bit for the 100 % cotton they have good stuff

I also prefer Hancock's over Joann's. They seem to have more of what I want, the prices are in a range I can afford and I find their quality to be better than Joann's in most cases. I kind of like the staff better too.

i have only good things to say about the Hancock's in Savannah, GA. :-)

i buy most of my fabs online. but, for in-person shopping they are my first stop.

nice people; good service; wide range of prices. i can usually find something that fits whatever my budget happens to be at the time. when they have a sale ... well ... i need a forklift to get out of there.

I have a Hancock's where I live and it's definitely better than JoAnn's. I watch what kind of fabric I buy no matter where I shop. I also go to LQS's and WalMart. You get what you pay for no matter where you shop.

We don't have a Hancocks anymore, but the one that we had was fantastic. Well organized, clean, bright and the people were great. I shopped there all the time and much preferred them to Joann's.
