Default Hang it Dang It-what type of sleeve?

I want to hang a quilt that is 63” wide by 90” long. I did not put a sleeve on yet. This video shows a “ sleeve” made with 3 folded triangles. Will this work with the Hang it Dang it? Thank you!

https://www.hangitdangit.com/faq.aspx

it says the clip goes over the sleeve so I guess theoretically it could work if the sleeve triangle can be compressed enough. It is 4 layers, right?

Yes, I believe it would be 4 layers at the top of the triangles....maybe too bulky for the clip?

Not sure if those three triangles would work. I put a regular sleeve on mine
when I used the Hang it Dang it.

Edit: On second thought I don't think it will work with all those layers.

I used a regular sleeve with my tapestry that I have hung with a Hang It Dang It. It works well. I think that when you get the Hang It Dang It, there are some instructions for making a sleeve.

I agree; I think the extra layers of fabric will be a problem.

Could you add another triangle, spacing it so that they were at the quarter-marks on the quilt? Then th thickness would not be at the center. Just a thought.

I have made the folded triangles on a smaller quilt, but I made 4 so there was not one at the center. Works great.

Hmmmm....maybe I can do a few more triangles as long as I leave a space in the middle....I will play with it when the hanger arrives. Thank you!
