I would go with the darker more solid blue. It makes the sashing look like a pretty blue bookcase.

Sew Very Easy has a video on how to hang your quilt with three hand stitches. I used this on my last quilt.

I like the blue print but it's because I like softer colors.

This is a great way to make the sleeve. I will try it.
