Default Need correct walking foot.

My daughter has a Brother LS 1217 sewing machine. It is not an expensive machine but she wants a walking foot. I called the company and they tell me that they do not have one for that model. I would buy a generic foot, but how do I know it would fit? It is a low shank with the bobbin underneath.

Usually the site listing the foot will also list which type of shank along with the type of machine it will fit. Sewingmachinesplus.com is a good place to look.

Her machine is not geared for quilting, only basic sewing and mending. She may need to upgrade to one that has quilting features.

I would buy one from Joanns or someone place like that (a universal one) .. and give it a try. You can always return it if it does not fit/work!
