I've had my machine for a little over a year now. I haven't had any issues as of date. I'd like to know how long was it before you took your machine for a "check up".

I've read the manual and don't see where it says to oil it or anything like that. I am still relatively new regarding the upkeep of the machine.

The booklets for my machines have a maintenance section. You might check online to see if there is an additional maintenance manual for your machine. Usually they don't require going to the "shop" if well maintained. Good luck.

I've had mine since the CE5500PRW first came out. I love it and have had no problems with it. I have cleaned the bobbin area just about every week depending on how much sewing I have done that week and the type of fabric I have been using.
