I would like to try a D9P for the first time but am having a hard time selecting fabrics for this. Any suggestions on what works well for this would be appreciated.

Anything you want to use will work fine. I've made two modified D9P with three fabrics and they turn out great.

The modified is I didn't make 9 patches first and cut them. I strip pieced mine so they're slightly different.

You can use 2 to 3 different fab's in each D9P. If you like scrappy then make each D9Pwith different prints. Do a search on D9P and you will see a wonderful selection of quilts using this pattern.
