Happy - Happy - Happy - that's me - I'm a new quilter and decided last night to try this cause I liked it SOO much. Here's my 1st block - can't wait to make a table runner - but have to figure out how much fabric I'll need. This was just scraps and unfortunately I don't have enough for any more blocks.

I've been looking at the tube quilting video & reading all the posts. I understand sewing 2 strips together, then adding another strip cut the width of the 2 sewn strips.
My problem is being partly deaf, couldn't hear enough to understand ruler placement before cutting. How do you know? I have most rulers, including the 60 degree triangle. Would sure appreciate some help knowing how to place the ruler. Do you use a mark or ? TIA

I seem to remember lining up the angle with a seam. I'm watching the video now (waiting for it to download) to see for sure.

I made tube quilt using the video, I used purples and it was fun and easy, I put it together in a logical arrangement, I'm planning on another and will arrange it differently.

no problem. I had to let it load and then I had to take ds to karate. So now we're back. It looks like the center angle line on the ruler goes over the seam line. You alternate which seam line it goes on (top or bottom) and when you line it up, you line up the edge of the ruler (the corner) right even with the cut edge of the tube (the edge that you just cut). Hope that makes sense!
