Funny, I wondered what the heck a "safety quilt" was...now I realize that I'm made more than one!! LOL!

Ahh, aren't you the funny one? Too late now but an alternative could have been to add sashing to each block to make them all the same. Of course, then it might no longer be a safety quilt. With that said, some of mine end up being safety quilts even before trimming. Bet you've learned a lot over the years and no longer have the scant 1/4" problem though.

Yeah, I don't enter my quilts in any contests. They're made simply for my own pleasure and, hopefully, the pleasure of the people I give them to so points or no points as long as it's done it doesn't cause me much concern.
I feel the same way! It wouldn't get done if not :)

Most blocks can be stretched as they are sewn into squares and one doesn't have to make sure they are all the same size. That is the point of using cotton fabric--it gives.

ohh love the name! I'll be sure to use it on some of my "pointless" quilts. :D They shall be named Safety Quilts from now on.

You're funny! I thought, "I've never heard of a safety quilt!".....but I have now! Sounds like something I would do. Thanks for the smile, and a hug for you!
