Quilter1147 - those are stunning. I've always wanted to make one; guess I need to get to it and I already have the clothesline (lots of it in fact)

I have made several rope bowls with my 3160 without any problems. I used cotton clothesline rope. The needle penetrates it easily.

ok folks! This thread made me pull out my clothesline and try a little bowl! So fun! Now I am off to make a bigger bowl!

I have the 3160 as my 'go' machine and have not found anything that it won't do. I have made several of the clothesline bowls. I did put a 14 needle in it, and just sewed up a storm!
