First let me thank everyone whose has offered me advice I really appreciate all of the tips and encouragement.

So, here's what's going on. I start up my machine I can begin stitching and after going maybe a couple of inches the bobbin thread breaks. I had purchased different thread and began using it then this issue started happening. So, I put the other bobbin back in that has the other (old) thread on it. And the bobbin thread is still breaking after stitching a couple of inches - a little bit further than the new thread was going. I tired calling Bailey's but got the answering machine. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the problem is with the bobbin. Maybe the tension is too tight? Or it may not be threaded correctly. Have you joined the Bailey group on Yahoo? I'm sure they would be very helpful.

Thank you. I just did through your link. I had tried searching for it earlier and didn't find it. I have tried winding a new bobbin. I have tried the tension maybe I should try going the other way with it? Since changing to the new thread it appears that the bobbin thread is pulling up from the bottom. I decreased it from 4 down to 3 it seemed to loosen it.

I think that when you put your bobbin in the bobbin case, it has to go a certain way so the thread is coming off the bobbin spool clockwise or counter clockwise. That might be a problem too.

I sure hope you get some help from the Yahoo group. I know you must be terribly frustrated.

It is. I am waiting to be accepted as a member to that group... I have tried it clockwise, counter clockwise. I have changed bobbins, wound new bobbins with different thread. Tomorrow at 7 am PCT I am calling Bailey's again hopefully they will be around and can answer my questions.
