Sorry you don't like the quilt - I think it is quintessential scrappy and cute to boot. Someone will love it, and who knows, by the time you finish it - it may even grow on you.

finishing it up and giving it away is a grand idea - it's not really THATbad... it'd be nice for a porch swing maybe -or even for a picnic. i love scrappy look..

Cathe, I see "Broken Dishes" with whole squares in between. That is quite good symbolism for women who are homeless and trying to put their lives back together! So, now, you just have to donate it!

I used Broken Dishes on a wallhanging I made for our county's hospital exam room for victims of sexual assault. I'll post a photo of it one of these days when my hubby can teach me how.

You can always donate it to a womens shelter or cut it up and make smaller ones and give it to an animal shelter, they always need blankets

lol

I like it too! It would be a quilt you wouldn't be afraid to drag around to picnics, to watch the fireworks display at night, etc.

Whack it together, whack a border on it and call it done. :-)

Put sashings in between each block, if you still don't like it donate it.
Someone will be grateful.

I like it! makes me think of something very" homey" something I would see in a log cabin on a couch by a nice fire.

I didn't read everyone's posts so I may be repeating but I have found in my small stuff that when I make something I thought was a good idea and really hated it when I got done- I took it up to the store I sell to and every single one that I hated someone bought!

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone else might think it is fantastic!

It is amazing how others view what we dislike! Each to their own!

I also think each work has a charm of it's own if just for the fact that it was made by a loving quilter's hand. Each is unique in it's own right!
