Charlotte has been winning awards and teaching for over 2 decades. She was the leader in the realistic portrait quilts in the 90s. Wonderful artist!

She is teaching at the Road to CA http://www.road2ca.com/index.html in January 19-22. She's actually teaching a number of classes, all on the midarm handiquilter sweet 16 machine:
Let me know if you decide to go on Friday. We can meet up.
3010C - Basic Free Motion Frolic
    4011C - Gridplay
    5011C - Texturizing Pictorial Quilts
    6010C - How Sweet(Sixteen) It Is!

I"m also taking this night class. I figured as long as I was driving up there I might as well take as many classes as possible.

    5068C Yes, You Can Create a Quilting Design 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM $40
    Patricia Simons http://quiltersrule.com/
    SKILL LEVEL: All Skill Levels

Ever dream of being able to create your own quilting designs? Are you convinced the Artistic fairy bypassed you when she was handing out talent? Join Patricia as she shows you how to move templates to create stunning designs that look complicated, but are in reality the simplest of shapes. Block Designs, Border Designs, Creative Fill, and Non-Traditional Crosshatching will be discussed. These techniques can be used by all, regardless of your method of quilting (hand, domestic machine, long-, mid-, or short-arm machine). How to get the design to your quilt will be discussed. For questions regarding this class, please email: [email protected]

    KIT FEE: N/A

SUPPLY LIST: Pen and Paper (this is a lecture class)

I"m taking the one on Friday

Do you ever wonder what kind of quilting is best for your scenic quilts? Learn the type of lines that will help accentuate the entities contained in your quilt while varying shape and size in this free-motion quilting class. We'll practice designs in the morning and then take what you've learned to your own quilt in the afternoon.

I have never heard of her so I am going to go check her out. I won't be able to attend workshops but she sounds very interesting. Thank you!
